South Central Correctional Center in Licking reports the death of an inmate

(Licking)–The South Central Correctional Center in Licking reports the death of an inmate Thursday afternoon. According to a Correctional Center spokesman, 57-year-old Billy Godfrey was pronounced dead at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.  Godfrey was serving a life sentence for 35 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy from Phelps County. He apparently died of apparent natural causes.
