South Central Correction Center In Licking Records Its 17th Death Of The Year.

The South Central Correctional Center in Licking has recorded its 17th death of an inmate this year–a record of sorts for the institution. Correctional Center authorities reported late Friday that 28-year-old Demon Culpepper was pronounced dead at 11:58 Christmas Day evening.
Culpepper was serving a five-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance, and first degree tampering with a motor vehicle from Pulaski County, possession of a controlled substance from Franklin County, and unlawful possession of a firearm from St. Louis City.
Culpepper was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on November 30th, 2021.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of Culpepper’s death.
