Someone has stolen a Shop With a Cop donation canister at the Oasis Truck Plaza on Highway 133

In a modern update of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” someone has stolen a Shop With a Cop donation canister at the Oasis Truck Plaza on Highway 133, south of Richland. Fortunately, a video surveillance camera recorded the incident and provided law enforcement with images of the theft. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, who placed the canister in the truck stop, says the video shows a male subject accompanied by a female and two minor children. The photographs of the male are only being released to the public at this time. The vehicle they occupied is an older model van. The back left passenger window on the van is covered with plastic. Pulaski County Sheriff Jimmy Bench says anyone who has any information should contact the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department at 573-774-6196. The images can be seen on the Sheriff’s Department Facebook site. Money collected from the Shop With a Cop canisters go toward funding Christmas shopping by children from low income families.
