Some State Parks Closing for Deer Hunting

The Missouri Department of Conservation and DNR has announced that some state parks will be temporarily closed. To safely and effectively manage the deer population in some state parks, managed deer hunts are held in a coordinated effort between the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Division of State Parks and the Missouri Department of Conservation. The closure at Bennett Spring State Park will be today(dec8) and tomorrow(dec 9), Mark Twain State Park, HaHa Tonka, Pomme De Terre at Hermitage, Truman State Park, Watkins Woolen Mill, St Joe, and Knob Noster State Parks will all be closed December 12th and 13th.
