Smaller Christmas parade expected this Sunday in Waynesville but plenty of candy for Children along the parade route
(Waynesville)–This Sunday is the day for the annual Christmas parade this year in Waynesville. Tim Berrier of the Kiwanis Club of Pulaski County says the parade theme this year is “Christmas Dreams.” No pre-registration is required to become a parade participant. Just show up around noon Sunday in the Middle School parking lot. Because of this, he doesn’t have a firm estimate of how big the parade will be.
The parade will shove off at 2 p-m from the Middle School parking lot and head for the Downtown Waynesville Square. No school band will be participating this year due to concerns about Covid-19. However, Santa Claus will be in attendance and wrapped or packed candy will be thrown out to children along the parade route.
