(Waynesville)–It’s hard to believe, but most area schools will be starting their new academic year in just over two weeks from now. And most students in the area will be returning back into the classroom after an absence of about four months and a half. Waynesville School Superintendent, Dr. Brian Henry, says parents can send their students to the sit-down classes or may opt for virtual classes for their child. Those who choose to send their students back to the classroom should know that face masks and social distancing will be expected.

August 24th is the date of the first day of school for many districts in the area.
