Show of support for Ukraine citizens

During Monday night’s City Council meeting, Council members Sheila Mitchell and Gib Adkins requested that the council show support for the people of Ukraine. Councilman Adkins made a motion to request a resolution, and City Clerk Laina Starnes and Mayor Carr discussed options since the item wasn’t on the agenda…

Mrs. Mitchell made a suggestion that the water tower lights downtown be changed to reflect the colors blue and yellow to show support, however, technical aspects of the lighting system does not allow for that.
