Shooting suspect pleads not guilty

A Springfield woman accused of shooting a Laclede County couple multiple times has entered a plea of not guilty in Laclede County court. Becki Lucille Stalder was arrested on Thursday night after allegedly shooting James Earl Dean West and Ashley Lee Ann West 5 times each, at the intersection of A Highway and W Highway near Phillipsburg. Stalder who is James West’s former mother in law, allegedly rammed her vehicle into the back of the West’s car and when Ashley West got out, Stalder began shooting. Both victims were transported to a Springfield Hospital for treatment. Stalder is being held without bond on 2 counts of armed criminal action, and two counts of Assault in the first degree. Stalder is scheduled for a bond hearing on November 25th.
