The partnership between the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department, Lebanon Police Department, and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group made a significant dent in the drug trade in Laclede County in 2022. Laclede County Sheriff, David Millsap, says 21 search warrants were served in 2022, and that methamphetamine is the drug of choice in Laclede County, but fentanyl use is also rising…………

Due to those 21 search warrants being served, officers were able to take nearly three pounds of methamphetamine and over a pound of fentanyl off the streets. Officers also seized 13 firearms and over 18-thousand dollars in cash from Laclede County drug dealers. The work by the task force led to 144 criminal charges and 35 felony arrests. The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group includes five counties and seven cities.
