A Park Ranger who spotted a vehicle in a day-use area of Lake of the Ozarks State Park after hours, ended up arresting a registered sex offender. On July 4th Robin Hinson was found fishing at the dock, but was unable to produce a fishing license. Hinson, a convicted sex offender, was arrested for being physically present in a park. When the Ranger searched Hinson’s vehicle he seized items including marijuana, suspected heroin, suspect methamphetamine, and various pieces of drug paraphernalia. Hinson is charged for being a Sex Offender Physically Present within 500 Feet of a Park with a Playground, and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $5-thousand cash or surety.
