Sex Offender arrested at State Park

An investigation about a man who had his dog off the leash at Ha Ha Tonka State Park was arrested and is facing felony charges in Camden County. A Missouri State Park Ranger was at the park over the weekend and noticed the dog in violation of the leash law. When the Ranger made contact with the dog’s owner and ran his identification, it was discovered that he was a registered sex offender, and was not supposed to be in the park. 65-year-old Kelly Ryan Seamer was taken into custody for being a sex offender present within 500 feet of a park. When the Ranger searched Seamer he located a plastic bag that contained methamphetamine and a pipe. He is currently free on bond.
