The Pulaski County Health Center in Crocker has updated the latest Covid-19 statistics for Pulaski County. Year-to-date, as of 3:00pm Monday, Pulaski County had the following:

• Aggregate total of 341 confirmed COVID-19 test results
• An Increase of 77 over the past week
• 1 case currently hospitalized
• 186 Active Cases*
• 3556 known negative tests.

According to the Health Center, there is no set or consistent definition for “recovered”, therefore, this is an estimated number. Patients have a varied severity level and longevity of symptoms making this is a difficult statistic to track accurately. The state’s proposed definition considers a case recovered after 30 days if the person is not deceased. This active number was figured by subtracting Monday’s numbers with those 30 days ago. The county’s Covid-19 death count remains at one person.

Health Center representatives say that, while they do investigate and post public places that may have been a higher risk of public exposure, it is best to assume that every location you visit is a location of potential exposure and take the appropriate precautions to protect yourselves, your families, and our communities. Individuals who are identified as a close contact to a confirmed positive case will be notified.

It is critical that each and every one continues to practice preventative measures to help keep the spread of communicable diseases to a minimum. These precautions include: social distancing, wearing a face covering when in public, and limiting in-person interactions.
