Laclede County Deputies who were following up on a call to check on a truck that was parked on the side of the road on Highway B, near 32 ended up making an arrest for drug crimes. The investigation began on September 1st, where the vehicle had broken down, and it was learned that 42-year-old Myron Willis was on probation for possession of a controlled substance. Around that same time, a deputy noticed a black pouch in the ditch and discovered that it contained strips of Suboxone and marijuana.
During the investigation, and while speaking with other individuals who were with Willis, deputies located a glass smoking device on the front bumper of the truck. When officers did a more thorough search of the pouch that had been found earlier, they located 55 tramadol pills, a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine, and two different dosages of Morphine pills. Willis is charged with 2 counts of delivery of a controlled substance. His arraignment is set for October 26th.
