Sentencing Set for Nickel

A 29-year old Lebanon man will appear on August 3rd at 10:00 a.m. before Judge Matthew Hamner for sentencing after a guilty plea in the death of his 2-month old daughter.

Kyle Nickel was arrested by Laclede County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Technical Assistant Team at his home on Pelican Drive following the child’s death on March 27th of 2018. Nickel was charged with Endangering The Welfare Of A Child – 1st Degree – resulting in the Death Of a Child.

An autopsy conducted in Springfield, Missouri, on March 30 of 2018, discovered the infant had injuries consistent with blunt force trauma to the head.

Nickel remains in custody at the Laclede County Jail.
