Sensory support from the Show Me Romey Foundation

Approximately 1 in 35 children are diagnosed with Autism in the U.S. and while no single thing has been found to cause Autism, diagnosis and support can be key to helping children lead a better life. Some with Autism have a significant and even negative reaction to sensory stimuli, including lights and sounds. Casey Cox, the founder of the Show Me Romey Foundation tells Regional Radio News that they are providing sensory bags to local families and schools. One of the goals of the foundation is to construct a sensory-friendly center that is multifunctional for various needs of special needs children. In order to support their efforts the Show Me Romey Foundation accepts donations and holds fundraising events to include a Gala which will be held in November.
