Second Man Charged in Lake Ozark Shooting
Miller County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Winfrey has charged a second person in a shooting incident at a Lake Ozark restaurant leaving one dead and four others injured last Thursday evening.
Daniel Kurtzeborn of Iberia faces a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Investigators say Kurtzeborn was originally interviewed on the scene and said he did not have a firearm or discharge one because he had a previous criminal record. They say video surveillance obtained by State Troopers showed differently.
Authorities had previously charged Tonka Ponder with armed criminal action and first-degree assault.
Documents say surveillance video showed Ponder laying on the front deck of Casablanca reloading his gun. After Ponder reloaded, a man identified as B.C. walks on Bagnell Dam Boulevard with both hands in the air. Ponder fired a shot at B.C. as he was walking away, killing B.C.
Multiple people from various motorcycle clubs exchanged gunfire in front of the restaurant and the middle of the highway. During the exchange, multiple people were hit by bullets and later taken to the hospital.
The investigation is continuing, and additional charges may becoming.
