School Resource Officer arrested in Camden County
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office Monday arrested a Camdenton man–49-year-old Darrin Skinner–who worked as a School Resource Officer at the elementary school in Mack’s Creek. He faces two counts of possession of child pornography, six counts of promoting child pornography in the first degree. and six counts of promoting child pornography in the second degree. According to the Camden County Sherriff’s Department, officers began an investigation in June after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The investigation eventually led deputies to Skinner, and the sheriff’s office then turned over the investigation to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to court documents, data obtained from Skinner’s Me-We account, a social media platform, showed 18 images of child pornography, and approximately 15 of those were sent by Skinner to other users. Skinner is being held without bond at the Camden County Jail in Camdenton. An initial appearance in court is scheduled for this Thursday.
