School District and Police investigate potential threat

Lebanon High School staff were notified Sunday evening of a potential threat to Lebanon High School made via social media. According to Dr. David Schmitz police were notified, conducted a home check, and determined there is not a legitimate threat.

According to Schmitz, the Lebanon R-3 School District places student and staff safety as the highest priority. We encourage a positive and safe environment in all of our schools. Comments and/or behaviors that cause fear or concern for safety will not be tolerated in our schools. Information shared with District staff is always taken seriously and he said the school district appreciates the students and staff who reported the potential threat.
