The sale of property owned by the City of Camdenton may preserve a piece of history on Camdenton’s Square. During a recent meeting, the Camdenton Board of Aldermen voted to approve the sale of the former Night Hawk and Kitty Hawk properties. City Administrator Jeff Hooker tells us the city first thought they were going to have to demolish the building but then Millington Properties offered to purchase the property with a plan to restore the building…

Hooker said that many longtime Camdenton residents have memories of the Night Hawk and Kitty Hawk….

Hooker said the property was sold for $11-thousand-100-dollars, which may not seem like much but, the cost to replace the roof is estimated to be more than $50-thousand-dollars, plus the building which has been vacant for some time will have to have other major repairs before it can be occupied.
