(Crocker)–As part of a resurfacing and shoulder work project in Miller and Pulaski counties, contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will be making safety improvements along the Route U bridge over Tavern Creek. The bridge, located north of Crocker, will be closed on Tuesday, July 7th, and is scheduled to re-open in early August. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes during the construction work. Work taking place includes widening the roadway and upgrading guardrails on the bridge. MoDOT says these improvements will increase safety for motorists.
