The Missouri Department of Transportation is advising local residents that there will be traffic impacts on a Pulaski County road for the next several months during a bridge rehabilitation project. The forty-nine-year-old Route T bridge over the Gasconade River, between Swedeborg and Waynesville, has reached a point where it is necessary to rehabilitate the bridge deck, make bridge barrier improvements, increase bridge pier protection, rehabilitate other bridge components, and improve roadway safety at both ends of the bridge. This Thursday, a contractor working for MoDOT will begin removing the surface material from the bridge deck requiring a lane closure on Route T at the bridge. Flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone. Once that work is complete, crews will begin installing temporary signals at the bridge on Friday, June 25th. These temporary signals will remain at the bridge guiding traffic for approximately five months until construction is complete.
