Waters continue to rise along the Big Piney River and Roubidoux Creek in the wake of heavy rainfall Monday afternoon and evening to the south of Fort Leonard Wood.
Roubidoux Creek near Plato in Northwest Texas County is approaching moderate flooding. At 7:30 this morning the water level there measured near the moderate flood level of 13.43 feet. It is expected to crest at 14.07 feet and then start to recede.
Roubidoux Creek south of Waynesville was measured at 4.11 feet at 7:30 this morning, with an expected crest of 9 feet later today, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for Roubidoux Creek in the Waynesville area until late tonight.
At a water level of 9.0 feet, the RV Park on the west side of Roubidoux
in Waynesville floods as does Spring Road through Laughlin Park.
This crest compares to a previous crest of 9 feet on May 18th, 2020.
There is minor flooding reported along the Big Piney River from the Edgar Springs area to east of the East Gate of Fort Leonard Wood.
