The Fundraising Kickoff for the Hughes Senior Center was officially announced on Wednesday. During a gathering at the Senior Center, Fundraising Committee Chairman Jeremy Garner talked about programs offered by the Hughes Senior Center that donations help support….
The fundraising campaign will help the organization address several needed improvements, to include new tables and chairs for the dining room and in the kitchen, meal cost and more. As part of the campaign, the Robert W Plaster Foundation has pledged to match donations. Michael Plaster said they were approached about the need at the center.
Mr Plaster explained how the matching donation will work…..
The fundraising campaign will include donor opportunities to include a $150 weekly lunchtime sponsorship, banner displays in the dining hall, individual donations and more. In addition to programs offered by the center, they serve over 13-hundred meals in the center and curbside, and they deliver more than 39-hundred meals per month, which means that every donation is used to the best of their ability.
