Ricky “Rick” Eugene Rogers, age 62, of Elkland, Missouri entered into rest on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Tunas.

Rick was born on September 1, 1961, in Columbia, Missouri to the late Ralph George and Mary Jane (Camden) Rogers. Rick was raised in the Long Lane area. From an early age, Rick was a jokester. He loved to make other people laugh and smile. He was born with a heart of gold that influenced how he treated others. He was a dedicated family man to his children, beloved grandchildren, and siblings. He would give a stranger the shirt off his back if needed. Rick was always there and always stepped when others stepped down.

Rick worked at the Stave Mill for many years. He also worked in boat upholstery, and most recently in small engine repairs. He loved to tinker with lawn mowers and bicycles. Rick made numerous woodworking projects for family and friends, one of note is a cedar chest made for sister Dixie.
Rick was a beloved dad, the best Papa Rick, and caring brother. He will be missed by all who truly knew and loved him.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, brothers Allen Rogers, Timmy Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, Larry Rogers, and sister Brenda Kay Rogers. He is survived by his daughters Jodi Jasper and Jamie Rogers, grandchildren Kylee Cahow (fiancé Liz Stange), Michael Jasper, Donavon Rogers, and Justice Coward, siblings Nancy Dye (Rick), Tommy Rogers, Danny Rogers, Dixie Deckard (Gary), mother Mary Rogers, sisters-in-law Cathy Rogers, Tammy Rogers, and Clara Rogers, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Through Ricks own cancer journey, he began to think of all the children who suffer from childhood cancer. He related to them, and his heart ached for them, because of this in lieu of flowers or cards, it is asked that you make a memorial contribution to St Jude’s. (https://www.stjude.org/donate)
