Richland man sentenced to prison for deadly crash

A Richland man has been sentenced to prison on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. 22 year old Landon Charles Martin was indicted on a charge of involuntary manslaughter following an August 31st 2018 wreck that killed 17 year old Kaleb Veasman. Martin who was 20 at the time of the crash, was driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle ran off Highway C, east of 133 near Dixon, overturned and hit a tree. Veasman was a passenger in the car and died in the crash. Authorities said Martin was driving drunk at the time of the crash. He pleaded guilty in late December and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
