Richey Announces 21st Senate Seat Bid

Republican Representative Doug Richey of Excelsior Springs has formally announced his bid for Missouri’s 21st Senatorial District seat. Richey was one of the prominent members of the conservative caucus in the Missouri Legislature this year responsible for helping get the two transgender bills passed and sent to Governor Parson. Richey, when asked if that hurt his chances of getting elected, said he does not play the identity politics game. Fellow Republican Representative Kurtis Gregory of Marshall is also running for Hoskins’ seat.
