Retirees Appreciation Day Saturday Lineup At Fort Leonard Wood

The second day of Retirees Appreciation Days at Fort Leonard Wood begins today with an off-post breakfast. The free breakfast for retirees and their dependents will be held from 6 to 8:30 this morning at Masonic Lodge Number 375 at 1409 Ousley Road in Waynesville.
The focus then will shift to Fort Wood at a welcoming event scheduled for 8:30 at Abrams Theater. Retired Command Sergenat Major William Lewis, introduced by Garrison Commander, Colonel Anthony Pollio, will be the guest speaker. Registration for the day will begin at 7:30.
A town hall and question-and-answer session is scheduled at Abrams Theater between 9 and 10.
Service and information booths will be open at Nutter Fieldhouse between 10 o’ clock this morning and one o’ clock this afternoon.
Bus transportation will be provided for a dining facility lunch from 11 to 1 in Building 6111.
There will be a door prize giveaway at Nutter Fieldhouse beginning at 1 o’ clock this afternoon.
The goal of Retiree Appreciation Days is to provide retirees and their families with information, services, and assistance concerning their personal affairs, benefits, provileges, rights and entitlements–and to remind them they are still valued members of the team at Fort Wood.
