Results of High Speed enforcement campaign released by Missouri State Highway Patrol
The Missouri Highway Patrol has released the results of the Patrol’s high-speed enforcement campaign last weekend. Highway patrol troopers wrote 668 citations for moving violations and issued 1256 warnings, made 2557 traffic stops, and wrote 598-speed citations. 200 of the 598-speed citations were to motorists traveling more than 20 miles over the speed limit.
The patrol assisted 513 motorists in the process. This high-speed enforcement campaign was an effort to address a drastic increase in dangerously high speed and hazardous moving violations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
