The Lebanon Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in the 500-block of North Jefferson on January 2nd. Police say they were dispatched shortly before 10 p.m. and met with an employee at that location. The victim stated she was returning into the store after a smoke break when she noticed a male subject pushing a cart of grocery items out the door without paying for them. The victim told police the subject was wearing a red wig, and when confronted by the employee he turned toward the employee, placed his hand behind his back, and asked the employee if she wanted to get shot. The subject then continued to flee the store. The perpetrator is described as an older, short white male who was traveling in a dark-colored S-U-V with a loud exhaust. The first letter of the license plate was C. The employee told officers the manager would review video footage the following day, and did not want a report as the victim was unsure if they could press charges.
