Lebanon’s busiest roadway will be receiving driving surface improvements this week that will require overnight lane closures. A contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation is expected to begin making pavement repairs along Jefferson Avenue Monday night. Individual lanes will be closed in each direction between Route 64 and Commercial Street from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday, October 16th. Signs will guide motorists through the work zone. Access to various city streets will be closed while work takes place. Motorists are asked to slow down, plan extra travel time, avoid distractions, and watch for crews in work zones. MoDOT says the patience of motorists is appreciated. These pavement repairs are being made in advance of a Route 5 resurfacing project scheduled for 2021. This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
