Even though the United States is making progress in the fight against the COVID virus, many Americans are still struggling with necessities. The pandemic is still affecting many Americans’ ability to pay rent or utility bills. Resources are available for those who are struggling in those areas. One of the organizations helping people apply for funding is the Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri. With the Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri, John Farmer says a good deal of funding is available, and their organization is helping people complete the process of applying for that financial aid.

Farmer says the Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri is anticipating that the federal moratorium on evictions will expire on June 30th. He adds that it does take a few weeks to complete the process of applying for aid, so residents need to start the process now……….

The organization can also help residents through a subsidiary, Consumer Credit Counseling Services, at 417-889-7474. Farmer wants residents to know that they can help those who are delinquent on their rent and/or utilities and that many residents will meet the guidelines for assistance.
