Redistricting and filing opens in February

The task of redrawing the legislative districts in Missouri is still under consideration. Senator Sandy Crawford said the House is working on the Congressional Redistricting maps, and the bill is setting on the House calendar. Crawford said filing for candidacy will begin on February 22nd and if the map isn’t finished by then it could create some confusion…

Crawford said when it opens they will be able to file for office, but if the boundary changes, a candidate would have to withdraw and then refile for that particular district. Filing for the August Primary wraps up on March 29th.
