Recognition and Awards at Lebanon City Council

A couple of awards and honors were presented during this week’s City Council meeting. Lebanon Mayor Jared Carr presented the Electric Reliability Award to Travis Long.

According to the latest numbers, in the U.S. the average power outage for cities the size of Lebanon is 168 minutes. for the City of Lebanon the average power outage is 77 minutes. The award was originally presented to the Board of Public Works in April.

Also presented during this week’s meeting, Councilman Gib Adkins, who is also a member of the Missouri State Alumni Association, gave recognition to Councilman Bob Garner, who was the original members of the Lebanon Missouri State Alumni Chapter.

An annual event the Tournament proceeds benefit the Lebanon Chapter Scholarship fund that provides scholarships to Lebanon area students attending Missouri State University.
