National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Campaign

The month of April is distracted driver awareness month, and this week the Department of Transportations National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is kicking off a new campaign. NHTSA is always trying to come up with new ways to help keep drivers safe on the roadway, and raise awareness on the dangers of distracted driving. Regional Administrator with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Susan Decoursey says the campaign is called Put the Phone Away or Pay campaign, and also updates us with stats of distracted driving incidents over the past years.

Decoursey shares some steps people can take to help them be much safer when it comes to distracted driving issues.

You can also pull off to the side if you really need to take a phone call.

Decoursey says more information on the new campaign can be found at NHTSA.gov
