Pulaski County’s six-week run of falling Covid cases has been broken. For the week of September 12th through 18th, new cases rose to 111 in the county, a 22 percent increase over the week before. This brings the number of total cases in September to 317.
There were 3 additional deaths attributed to Covid, bringing the number of deaths since July 1st to 19.
61 percent of Pulaski County’s population now has received the first Covid vaccination, 50.8 percent has taken the second dose of the vaccine. 132 persons with compromised immune systems have received the third, booster dose.

The vaccination numbers are expected to get a boost in the near future when Fort Leonard Wood starts administering the vaccine to active-duty military who currently aren’t vaccinated against Covid.  The Department of the Army announced last week that it is moving forward with a plan to vaccinate the unvaccinated in compliance with a directive from the Secretary of Defense.
