A crash occurred yesterday night in Pulaski County leaving a passenger seriously injured. At approximately 5:28 PM, two vehicles were headed eastbound on I-44 Mile Marker 165, one mile East of St. Robert. The crash occurred when 24-year-old Rolla resident Brandon Blasingame’s diesel truck was stopped in traffic due to construction. 23-year-old Josie Carter was driving with 49-year-old Tamara Atkins and a 1-year-old female, all residents of Vinita, Oklahoma, and struck the rear of Blasingame’s truck. Carter and the juvenile sustained moderate injuries and were flown to University Hospital in Columbia. Atkins sustained serious injuries and was transported by Pulaski County ambulance to Phelps Health in Rolla. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
