The Pulaski County Health Center Tuesday afternoon reported that positive Covid-19 cases continue to jump at an alarming rate. Since last week, there have been 141 new positive coronavirus cases confirmed by testing. Year-to-date, as of this past Monday, Pulaski County has had an aggregate total of 941 coronavirus cases reported. 2 positive individuals are currently hospitalized. There has been one additional death since last week, bringing the aggregate total to 8 individuals who have lost their lives to the virus. There are 531 estimated active coronavirus cases in the county. The current locations of active outbreaks include Walmart in St. Robert, Life Care Center in Waynesville, EDP at Fort Leonard Wood, the Piney Ridge Center in Waynesville, the Dixon School District, the Waynesville School District, Dixon Nursing and Rehab, and the Richland Care Center. The Pulaski County Health Center will change the weekly COVID reporting date to Tuesdays next week. This is due to the number of new cases that are coming in over the weekend making it a struggle to get the update out on time. One piece of good news is that there were 539 Negative COVID tests to comes in since last week for an aggregate negative test total of 5,694.
