The MOCA Headstart Building in Waynesville was put on lockdown just before noon today, after authorities received a report of a possible active shooter in the 24-thousand block of Saffron Drive. According to Pulaski County Sheriff Jimmy Bench, the incident turned out to not be an active shooter situation and no injured people were found. Two men were taken into custody, pending warrants. Sheriff Bench sent out a message assuring the public and community this was not an active shooter, and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department has no reason to believe anyone is in immediate danger.
