Pulaski County Reports An Explosion of New Covid Cases

The Pulaski County Health Center released the latest Covid-19 count numbers on Friday, and the news was staggering. For the period of January 2nd through the 8th, there was a total of 601 new coronavirus cases reported, the highest number by far for any week during the past two years of the pandemic.
There was no Covid-related fatality reported in the county during this one-week period.
36,200 county residents have received at least one-dose of a Covid vaccine and 30,280 have received the second dose.
Last year, there were 5,526 reported Covid cases in Pulaski County and 32 deaths.
