A resident from Pulaski County, 21-year-old Ryan Christian, previously accused of assaulting another person within a residence, is now bound for prison.
Christian, from St. Robert, had initially faced charges including first-degree assault leading to severe physical harm, armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, and two counts of stealing firearms following an incident in June within his hometown. Allegedly, he forcibly entered through a rear entrance, demanded the resident leave, and then struck the individual with a rifle.
However, all these charges were dropped on Tuesday. This decision coincided with the revocation of Christian’s probation in two separate cases. At the time of the June assault, he was under supervised probation, serving two five-year sentences due to two theft incidents in 2022.
Kevin Hillman, the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney, clarified that the dismissal of charges was part of a negotiated plea agreement reached with Christian.
