Pulaski County man accused of child abuse

A Waynesville man is facing charges for the alleged abuse of a child in his care. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office began investigating after getting a call from the victim’s mother who said that she observed Jacob Collins spank her child multiple times and toss him onto the couch, and she said Collins shot the child in the stomach multiple times with a nerf gun. The mother also said that while viewing her security camera she observed Collins slapping the 4-year-old in the face. 20-year-old Jacob Collins is charged with felony abuse or neglect of a child and domestic assault. He is scheduled to be in court on June 25th in Pulaski County.
