Despite Missouri’s Covid Vaccination dashboard’s listing of Pulaski County as having the lowest inoculation rate in the state, Pulaski County has a much higher rate than 11.1 percent of the population receiving at least one dose of the vaccine. County Health Director Debra Teal-Baker says STATE tracking does not include those who receive the Covid vaccine from FEDERAL sources.

Fort Leonard Wood had not released its Covid vaccine numbers until May 5th, when its Commanding General unexpectedly announced 14-thousand vaccine doses had been administered to service members, Department of Defense civilians and contractors, and other beneficiaries who volunteered to receive it. Fort Wood officials were silent on the subject before the announcement.
Another Covid vaccination clinic was held this past Saturday at Fort Wood. The Pulaski County Health Department is holding a Pfizer and Moderna prime or booster clinic this afternoon from noon to 5 o’ clock on the St. Robert Municipal Center parking lot. No registration is required.
