A Pulaski County grand jury has indicted a Waynesville woman after her ten-month-old child was taken to the hospital with fentanyl in his system.
County Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Hillman has charged Tatianna Rowland with Endangering the Welfare Of A Child Creating Substantial Risk- 1st Degree/No Sexual Contact. Court documents state that someone called 911 to a home in Waynesville reporting an unconscious and unresponsive child on April 15th. Emergency crews arrived at the house and administered Narcan, which resulted in the child breathing again. According to court documents, the boy was eventually taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to receive treatment. A drug screening there revealed the presence of fentanyl in the boy’s system. Rowland will be arraigned on the charges on May 15th. She is being held in the county jail in Waynesville.
