Some sobering Covid statistics were released late Wednesday by the Pulaski County Health Department. New cases ballooned up to 136 for the week leading up to Halloween. During that period, there were 2 more deaths related to Covid, bringing the total to 26 of those who have died of this disease since July 1st. In the first six months of the year when the Covid rate was much higher, there were only 2 deaths attributed to this virus. Two weeks ago, only 67 new cases of Covid were encountered. Pulaski County Health Department Director Debra Decker says there is no one cause for last week’s spike.

The total number of Covid cases in October was 392.
