(Crocker)–According to the Pulaski County Health Department, there were 537 positive Covid tests from December 21st through January 3rd in Pulaski County. The Health Department did not release any figures last week over the Christmas-New Year break. The numbers translate to about 268 positive tests per week, which is much lower than the numbers reported in Mid-December.
Over that two-week period, there were 5 new Covid-related death reports. The P-C-R 7-day positivity rate continues to fall. It is now at 19.6 percent. Even so, Pulaski County is still a Category One, Extreme Risk County. A Mask Advisory is still in effect, and masks are strongly advised in all offices and businesses where social distancing is not possible.
