Public Administrator Resigns
Citing health issues, newly sworn-in Public Administrator Zane McCaslin has resigned. McCaslin was sworn in on January 1st. Laclede County Presiding Commissioner Randy Angst said the letter of resignation to the Laclede County Commissioners was deemed confidential. The commission held an emergency meeting yesterday (Tuesday) to discuss the situation, and In order to avoid leaving the seat unattended and continuing service to the clients that the Public Administrator’s Office serves, the County Commission has appointed Annette Charles, a former employee with the Public Administrators Office to serve in the position. Charles will be sworn in to serve the unexpired term this morning.(wed)
