Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Board of Directors approved three items at their recent meeting. The three items that were discussed were a increase in retirement, purchase of a new self contained breathing apparatus, and the board discussed purchasing a new brush truck. Fire Chief Joseph LaPlant says that the board approved the retirement increase thanks to proposition fire.
LaPlant says the Assistance to Firefighters grant (AFG) helped them pay for new self contained breathing apparatus air packs.
Laplant said the board approved a purchase of a new brush truck.
The truck was purchased for 69 thousand dollars.
LaPlant says that the truck should be delivered in 2-3 months and have it in service in the next 5-6 months.
