(Waynesville)–Prices for breakfast and lunch in the Waynesville School District will remain unchanged for the 2020-21 school year. The Waynesville Board of Education met on Monday and decided to keep prices the same as last school year. For the 2020-21 academic year, prices for lunches at school will remain $2.10 for students in grades K-through-8 and $2.30 per lunch for 9th through 12th grade students. At Waynesville High School, ala carte items will be extra. The reduced lunch price for qualifying students in grades K-through-12 is 40 cents.
Free breakfast is offered at all Waynesville schools except Thayer Elementary and Waynesville High School, where not a high enough percentage of students qualify for free and reduced meals. Breakfast for students at Thayer and WHS is $1.45 each; for those who qualify at those two buildings, breakfast is free or reduced at 30 cents.
