Prepare for your Holiday Travel

If you’re planning on traveling for the holidays, you should make sure your vehicle is in good shape before you hit the road. With winter weather predictably approaching in the coming months, you’ll want to be sure you’re prepared in case of emergency when traveling Missouri’s roads. Before setting off, make sure your car has a supply of blankets, cellphones, and cell phone chargers. Also, strive to make sure your gas tank remains full or close to it. In addition, Sgt. Mike Mitchell with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says your car should be technically sound as well.

In 2020, there were more than 5,500 vehicle crashes in Missouri in which snow or ice were factors, which resulted in 1,698 injuries and 26 deaths. The best way to avoid such an accident is to be prepared before setting out.
