Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows deer hunters in Missouri harvested more than 95,000 deer during opening weekend of the November portion of firearms deer season. The top harvest counties for opening weekend were Franklin with 2,114 deer harvested, Texas with 1,825, and Howell with 1,726.

Laclede County hunters checked in 12-hundred- 21, Camden County checked 12-hundred-61 and Pulaski County reported 690 deer were harvested. In Wright County hunters checked in 11-hundred-86, and Webster County checked in 1,061. Statewide, Pemiscot County showed the lowest number of deer harvested 35 were checked over the weekend.
